Environment Information System (ENVIS), a programme of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), Govt. of India, is a decentralized system using the distributed network of databases to ensure integration of national efforts in Environment Informational Compilation, Storage, Retrieval and Dissemination to all concerned including policy makers, planners, R&D workers and the public.
